1. Introduction

At Screentro.ai, we are committed to building a trusted and transparent remote hiring ecosystem. We respect your privacy and are deeply committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it — especially in the context of our interview integrity platform.

2. What We Collect

During the use of our services (including our candidate validation process and desktop interview proctor app), we may temporarily access the following types of information only with your explicit consent:

✅ During Candidate Evaluation:

  • Publicly available professional profiles (LinkedIn, GitHub, personal website)
  • Uploaded resume for integrity comparison

✅ During Interview Proctoring (based on your selection):

  • Screen activity
  • Microphone input
  • Camera feed
  • Running processes and window titles
  • Network configuration and real-time data patterns

You may choose which items to allow. We do not force any monitoring item. If you disable any item, it will simply be communicated to the interviewer for transparency.

3. What We Don't Store

Unless a candidate is flagged as fraudulent, we do not permanently store any user data.

Specifically, we do not store:

  • Video or audio recordings
  • Your real name or identification data
  • Your real device data (IP address, MAC address, geolocation, etc.)
  • Any part of your resume, profile, or system environment that is confirmed to be real or authentic

All non-fraudulent data is either processed in real time only or deleted shortly after the session concludes.

4. What We Do Store (in Fraud Cases Only)

If a candidate is determined — after human review and algorithmic validation — to have engaged in confirmed fraudulent behavior, we may store limited evidence strictly related to the fraudulent action.

This may include:

  • Fake resume entries
  • Deepfake video samples
  • Altered voice recordings
  • Proxy IPs or masked locations
  • Unauthorized or deceptive use of tools (e.g., remote desktop or voice coaching software)

We only retain false or fabricated data to:

  • Alert the hiring client
  • Prevent repeat abuse of our platform
  • Comply with security audit requirements

We do not store any authentic or real personal data associated with these users.

5. How We Protect Your Data

We use industry-standard security protocols to ensure all temporary and stored data is encrypted and protected, including:

  • End-to-end TLS encryption for all transmissions
  • Secure access controls for our data reviewers
  • Auto-expiration policies for all temporary session data
  • Isolated storage of fraud-flagged cases

6. Data Ownership and User Control

You retain full control over:

  • What monitoring tools you allow
  • Whether or not to proceed with Screentro-powered interviews
  • The right to request deletion of any non-fraudulent temporary session data

To request data access or deletion, email us at team@screentro.ai.

7. Compliance

Screentro.ai complies with relevant privacy regulations, including:

  • GDPR (EU)
  • CCPA (California)
  • Global remote work standards

We never sell or share your data with third parties beyond the hiring company directly involved in your interview process.

We are building Screentro.ai to protect the future of work — not to monitor, manipulate, or punish. If you’re an honest candidate, we’re on your side.
